Neon & Tides

There is a version of Hong Kong that only exists after dark, a city that doubles down on itself, that refuses subtlety, that commits entirely to the spectacle of light and reflection and the particular kind of energy that only arrives once the sun has surrendered. Neon & Tides was designed specifically for this version of the city. It is Cruivantara's atmospheric and visceral offering: a four-hour evening cruise that places you not on the sidelines of one of the world's celebrated nocturnal panoramas, but squarely at its center.

Come for the lights. Stay for what they make you feel.

The Experience

Boarding begins at 7:00 PM at Wan Chai Pier, as the city's daytime palette begins its slow, magnificent transformation and the harbor takes on the particular quality of light that belongs only to the hour between day and dark. By 8:00 PM, as the vessel positions itself in the center of Victoria Harbor, the Symphony of Lights, the world's largest permanent light and sound show — begins its nightly performance across the skyline. Viewed from the water, without buildings interrupting sightlines or crowds pressing from every direction, the show is an entirely different experience to anything witnessed from the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade or the Island's northern shore.

Post-show, the vessel moves east through the harbor, tracing the illuminated façades of the fiscal district and the glowing residential towers of Quarry Bay, before sweeping back west past the relentless brilliance of Central and Sheung Wan. Throughout the evening, the captain repositions the vessel at varying distances from the shoreline, alternating between the overwhelming intimacy of closeness and the majestic sweep available only from the middle of the water. The return to Wan Chai at 11:00 PM is unhurried and quiet, the city still blazing magnificently behind you as you step ashore.

Onboard

A fully stocked craft cocktail bar remains open throughout the voyage, with a menu curated around Hong Kong's iconic flavors and ingredients. Cantonese-inspired tapas are served across the evening in two rounds. The outdoor deck features tiered seating designed for unobstructed 270-degree views, with no bad seat on the vessel. Optional private cabana bookings are available for couples and small groups seeking a more secluded experience. The evening's soundtrack is a curated original playlist composed by a Hong Kong-based musician, written specifically for the harbor at night.

Appropriate For

Couples, celebratory occasions, milestone anniversaries, photography enthusiasts, and nightlife connoisseurs.

Cruivantara Note

Neon & Tides is our popular booking across the entire collection. Guests frequently describe the moment the Symphony of Lights begins from the middle of the harbor as one they did not expect to move them as much as it did. Advance reservation of at least two weeks is strongly recommended.
